DARE TO BE A NOAH, DARE TO STAND ALONE.

>In the days of Noah everyone else thought only about evil. They were so consumed with satisfying their sinful desires that it caused God to regret that He had created them.  Therefore, we should take note of a man such as Noah. Out of all the evil men upon the earth, Noah pleased God.  What was it about Noah that separated him from all the rest? 

"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." - Gen 6:8 

It is held by some that People find grace, but not because they are righteous, or because of anything good that they do. That theory not only defies the natural inference from the scripture, but it contradicts God’s words in Gen 7:1. 

Grace is God’s unmerited favor. Being unmerited means that we do not deserve it, neither can we earn it. Noah did not earn God’s favor. He did not deserve God’s grace. Why then was God gracious to him and him alone? 1 Corinth 15:10 

The works of Noah: 

A. HE WAS "A JUST MAN" - Gen 6:9 

B. HE WAS "PERFECT IN HIS GENERATIONS" - Gen 6:9; 2 Pet 3:14 

C. HE "WALKED WITH GOD" - Gen 6:9; Ep 5:15-17; Ep 5:2; Ep 4:17-20 

D. HE "DID ACCORDING TO ALL THAT THE LORD COMMANDED HIM" Gen 6:22; 7:5; He 11:7; Mt 28:20 

E. HE WAS "A PREACHER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS" - 2 Pet 2:5; 2 Pet 3:9; Ac 17:30-31 

Let me conclude with some good advice. 

1. Don’t miss the boat. 
2. We are all in the same boat. 
3. Stay fit, God may ask you to do something really big when you get older. 
4. Don’t listen to the critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done. 
5. It is always safer to travel in pairs. 
6. The ark was built by amateurs. The Titanic was built by professionals. 
7. No matter the storm. When you are with God, there is always a rainbow waiting. 
   Peter reminds us that just as the world was once destroyed by water, so it shall be destroyed by fire when Jesus returns - 2 Pe 3:3-14
