There is power in the word of God and in the preaching of the gospel.
Satan blinds the hearts and minds of people (2 Corinthians 4:4), but the gospel is the God-appointed means by which the enemy is defeated and the captives enlightened and released.
Therefore, "we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord"(2 Corinthians 4:5).
It is the Bible that gives us the mandate, the message the model, and the power. We are thereforemotivated by these equipping of God to carry out His mandate of reaching the world with His gospel.
